Abstract

<B>APARELHO E PROCESSO DE FABRICAçãO DE PEçAS PRé-MOLDADAS PARA FIBRAS óTICAS PARA CONTRAçãO E FECHAMENTO DO TUBO DEPOSITADO<D> São descritos aparelho e processo de fabricação de peças pré-moldadas para fibras óticas em que os processos para a contração e fechamento de um tubo depositado são conduzidos usando-se um dispositivo adequado para tais processos, dispositivo este que é distinto do dispositivo usado em um processo de deposição para formar o tubo depositado na superfície interna de um tubo de pré-moldagem, reduzindo-se, deste modo, o tempo de processamento e reduzindo-se ao mesmo tempo a quantidade de OH que penetra do tubo de pré-moldagem para dentro de um componente vítreo do tubo depositado, resultando, deste modo, numa redução de perda de OH. De acordo com o aparelho e processo de fabricação de peças pré-moldadas para fibras óticas, são conduzidas operações que abrangem o ajuste da temperatura de aquecimento de um aquecedor circular a uma temperatura abaixo do ponto de amolecimento do tubo depositado, a descarga de contaminantes existentes no interior do tubo depositado enquanto se desloca o aquecedor circular a uma temperatura desejada, o ajuste da temperatura de aquecimento do aquecedor circular a uma temperatura não abaixo do ponto de amolecimento do tubo depositado e a contração e o fechamento do tubo depositado enquanto se desloca o aquecedor circular a uma temperatura desejada.
