Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"CONDICIONAMENTO DE SEMENTES EM MATRIZ SóLIDA"<D>. No processo da invenção, a semente a ser tratada, uma quantidade predeterminada de material de matriz sólida e uma quantidade predeterminada de água são misturadas e a mistura deixada descansar, de preferência em um recipiente que permita a entrada de ar mas que reduza as perdas por evaporação, por exemplo, um recipiente de metal fechado com uma pequena abertura no topo, por um tempo e uma temperatura suficientes para melhorar o vigor da planta resultante, isto é, aperfeiçoamento da emergência, crescimento de características de rendimento, mas menor daquela que causa o apodrecimento da semente. As sementes com defeito podem ser separadas por tamanho porque elas incham, resistência sistêmica à doença pode ser induzida e os genes podem ser transferidos mais facilmente no ciclo de célula selecionado.
