Abstract
"DETECTOR DE ATIVIDADE óPTICA PARA USO COM COMPOSTOS OPTICAMENTE ATIVOS". Um detector de rotação óptica melhorado para detectar compostos moleculares opticamente ativos em uma solução de amostra usando: um diodo a laser (12) com o feixe passando através de uma fibra ou lente óptica (14) para melhorar sua qualidade, um oscilador de referência na freq³ência f (18), um primeiro polarizador (16), uma célula de fluxo especialmente construída (20) para minimizar birrefringência mecânica e dispersão na janela óptica da célula, um segundo polarizador (80), e um esquema de detecção melhorado (84). O esquema de detecção inclui um primeiro e segundo fotodetector para sentir os primeiros e segundo sinais, onde o primeiro sinal é luz passada através do segundo polarizador e o segundo sinal é luz refletida fora do segundo polarizador. Um baixa passagem do circuito compensador filtra os sinais, inverte um sinal e soma-o com o outro, e depois filtros de entalhe retiram os componentes indesejados para produzir um sinal compensado. O sinal compensado depois aciona um amplificador de fechamento que é acionado pelo oscilador de referência para sentir o sinal de freq³ência f da amplitude modulada. Esse sinal compensado indica a atividade óptica da amostra, porém é imune a flutuações de potência do laser.
