Abstract

"UM GERENCIADOR DE COMUNICAçãO PARA PROVER MULTIMìDIA EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO EM GRUPO". A presente invenção apresenta um sistema e método para prover serviços de comunicação em grupo. Cada uma dentre uma pluralidade de dispositivos de comunicação em grupo converte mídia, tal como vídeo, áudio, imagem e/ou dados em pacotes de dados adequados para transmissão através de uma rede de dados, tal como a Internet. Os pacotes de dados são transmitidos seletivamente pela rede de dados a um gerenciador de comunicações. O gerenciador de comunicações age como um comutador configurável, permitindo que comunicações a partir de qualquer dispositivo de comunicação seja direcionado seletivamente para a pluralidade de dispositivos de comunicação com base nos tipos dos dispositivos de comunicação e/ou nas requisições recebidas a partir dos usuários correspondentes. o gerenciador de comunicações permite adicionalmente que os usuários de outros sistemas de comunicação e dispositivos participem das comunicações em grupo entre si.
