Abstract

"INSERTO PARA USO NA CONEXãO DE DOIS COMPRIMENTOS DE TUBO, E, MéTODO PARA CONECTAR UM PRIMEIRO TUBO CONTENDO UM PRIMEIRO REVESTIMENTO A UM SEGUNDO TUBO CONTENDO UM SEGUNDO REVESTIMENTO". Um inserto (10) para uso na conexão de dois comprimentos de tubo, cada um dos quais tem um revestimento plástico. O inserto consiste em um membro tubular interno (12) de material plástico para conexão a qualquer extremidade aos revestimentos de dois comprimentos de tubo, uma luva isolante (14) cercando uma parte central do membro tubular interno (12) e um anel (16) de material resistente a calor sobrepondo parte da luva isolante (14) a ser posicionada, em uso, embaixo de um local no qual o comprimento de tubo é soldado de topo. A luva isolante (14) inclui um material isolante (22) que é pelo menos encerrado parcialmente com um envoltório (24), tal que o envoltório (24) possa ser conectado mecanicamente ao interior de um dito comprimento de tubo.
