Abstract

"MéTODO, ELEMENTO DE REDE E SISTEMA PARA POSICIONAR O TERMINAL DO ASSINANTE EM UMA REDE DE TELEFONIA MóVEL COMUTADA POR PACOTE". O objeto da invenção é um método, um elemento de rede, e um sistema para posicionar o terminal do assinante em uma rede de telefonia móvel comutada por pacote, a rede compreende um elemento (NSGS, 504) da rede núcleo, as estações base, o Controlador da Estação Base (501) controlando estes, e um terminal móvel; as conexões na rede de telefonia móvel estão dispostas em uma sessão comutada por pacote. O sistema compreende a unidade de localização (CLMS, 505) para determinar a posição do terminal, e a funcionalidade conectada com o Controlador da Estação Base (501) da rede de telefonia móvel; a conexão entre o Controlador da Estação Base (501) e a unidade de localização (CLMS) é comutada por circuito. The system comprises the location unit (CLMS, 505) for determining the position of the terminal, and the functionality connected with the base station controller (501) of the mobile telephone network; The connection between the Base Station Controller (501) and the location unit (CLMS) is circuit switched. The Base Station Controller (501) comprises both circuit-switched (CEB) and packet-switched (PCU) features for processing circuit-switched, and, respectively, packet-switched messages, as well as devices (506, 507 ) to establish the association between circuit-switched and packet-switched functionality for data transmission related to a specific positioning between circuit-switched and packet-switched functionality.
