Abstract

"PROCESSOS E DISPOSITIVOS PARA ATOMIZAçãO DE LìQUIDOS". A presente invenção se refere a atomização controlada de líquidos para várias aplicações, tais como, semeadura de partículas/gotículas para medições a base de laser de velocidade de fluxo, temperatura e concentração; análise elementar a base de plasma e chama; produção de nano- pó; secagem por aspersão para geração de partículas de tamanho pequeno; nebulizadores para produção de gotículas de sub- mícron e para de fluído para uso em câmaras de combustão. Nestas e outras aplicações de atomizador, o controle do tamanho da gotícula e/ou partícula e uniformidade são importantes. Em algumas aplicações, gotículas extremamente pequenas são preferidas (menos que um mícron), enquanto em outras, diâmetros de gotícula na escala de vários micra são necessários. A presente invenção possui a flexibilidade de formar gotículas dentro de uma faixa específica de diâmetros, onde não apenas o tamanho da gotícula média pode ser ajustado, porém a faixa de tamanhos pode ser ajustada também. O atomizador (4) propriamente está na forma de um tubo aquecido (44) possuindo uma extremidade de entrada (48) e uma extremidade de saída (5). Conforme o líquido viaja através do tubo, ele é aquecido e quando deixa o tubo e entra na área de pressão reduzida, o líquido atomiza para formar gotículas muito finas. Por aquecimento elétrico do tubo, em razão da passagem de corrente pelo menos, o ajuste de aquecimento pode ser realizado no deslocamento "on-the-fly", permitindo o ajuste do tamanho da gotícula durante a operação do atomizador. São reveladas várias concretizações diferentes do dispositivo de atomização.
