Abstract
"MéTODO RáPIDO PARA MEDIçãO DE CARBOIDRATOS COMPLEXOS EM TECIDO DE MAMìFERO". A invenção descreve um método rápido de medição de carboidratos complexos em tecido de mamífero, o dito método compreendendo as etapas de: extração de uma amostra de tecido a ser testada; formação de uma pasta fluida homogênea da amostra com uma solução aquosa; adição de enzima de hidrólise suficiente para assegurar hidrólise completa de glicogênio na pasta fluida; e medição da concentração de glicose na pasta fluida. O método pode ser realizado pós-mortem para avaliar a concentração do momento da matança. A invenção descreve ainda a medição de concentrações de lactato. O método da invenção pode ser realizado em trinta minutos ou menos."QUICK METHOD FOR MEASURING COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATES IN MAMMALIAN TISSUE". The invention describes a rapid method of measuring complex carbohydrates in mammalian tissue, said method comprising the steps of: extracting a tissue sample to be tested; formation of a homogeneous slurry of the sample with an aqueous solution; addition of sufficient hydrolysis enzyme to ensure complete hydrolysis of glycogen in the slurry; and measuring the concentration of glucose in the slurry. The method can be carried out post-mortem to assess the concentration at the time of killing. The invention further describes the measurement of lactate concentrations. The method of the invention can be carried out in thirty minutes or less.
