Abstract
"MéTODO PARA A INTRODUçãO DE MATERIAL GENéTICO PARA DENTRO DE PLANTAS, PLANTA INTEIRA, SEMENTE OU PARTES DE SEMENTE, PROGêNIE, E, CéLULA FUNDIDA OU PROTOPLASTO FUNDIDO". é descrito um método de preparação de plantas transgênicas. DNA heterólogo é primeiro introduzido dentro de um (a) protoplasto, célula de planta ou planta doadora, e depois movido de uma planta doadora para um (a) protoplasto, célula de planta ou planta recipiente acompanhado (a) por qualquer DNA genómico nativo do doador. São escolhidos o doador e o recipiente que produzem progênie instável ou demonstram separação ou segregação preferencial. O DNA pode ser inserido aleatoriamente ou em localizações específicas no genoma da planta recipiente. Também são descritas plantas transgênicas produzidas pelos processos, e progênie de planta, partes de planta e sementes e partes de semente das plantas.
