Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "GERENCIAMENTO DE LARGURA DE BANDA EM UMA DIFUSãO HìBRIDA PONTO A PONTO". Trata-se de um sistema e método implementado em um Sistema de televisão interativo para gerenciar a transmissão dos dados através de canais de difusão e ponto a ponto. Em uma modalidade, o sistema compreende uma estação de difusão, uma pluralidade de estações de recebimento, um canal de difusão através do qual os dados podem ser transmitidos da estação de difusão para as estações de recebimento e uma pluralidade de canais ponto a ponto, cada um dos quais está entre uma estação de recebimento correspondente e a estação de difusão. A estação de difusão monitora a demanda em relação a pedaços de informação particulares e determina se a informação deve ser distribuída via o canal de difusão ou via os canais pontos a ponto. Os pedaços de informação com demanda mais alta são difundidos de forma cíclica através do canal de difusão, enquanto a informação com demanda mais baixa é transmitida através dos canais ponto a ponto.
