Description
本發明概括而言是有關無線通訊系統,特別是,本發明是有關在該系統中多媒體廣播及多播服務的頻道切換及排程。
在無線通訊系統中使用多媒體廣播/多播服務(MBMS)的需求正在上升,對於特定的MBMS而言,網路中一個授予的胞元可能具有無、一個、或多個的使用者、無線傳送/接收單元(WTRUs),而使用該MBMS。當使用者在胞元間遷移時,一原本可能具有一個或沒有使用該服務的使用者的胞元在稍後可能會有多個使用該服務的使用者,相反地,一個在一點具有多個使用該服務的使用者在另一時間可能只有一個或沒有使用者。
使用者的遷移會產生無線資源無效率的使用。如果只有一個或很少的使用者在該胞元使用該MBMS,對使用者來說使用專用頻道來支援該服務是值得嚮往的,專用頻道可利用功率控制及波束導向以減少用來支援MBMS之無線資源的數量。
然而,如果太多使用者使用在該胞元中的MBMS,則多個專用頻道總計可能會用到相當大量的無線資源,在這種情形下,一個較理想的無線資源使用可能會是透過一個共有/共享頻道來發送MBMS資料給一群使用該MBMS的使用者。雖然在該情形下使用波束導向和功率控制會受限制,但總頻道數量的降低可減少無線資源的使用。當在胞元中MBMS使用者的數量改變,原本不是共有/共享頻道就是專用頻道的選擇在後來就不是那麼地理想了。
另一個由使用者遷移所導致的潛在問題乃是MBMS的排程。當一個MBMS使用者在胞元間移動時,該使用者需要藉由接收自兩胞元的資訊以重新建立MBMS服務,如果兩胞元同步化他們的MBMS傳送,該MBMS使用者就能在胞元間無間隙的移動,然而,類似的情景通常不會實現且會令人失望。在基於胞元裝載和有效資源的某種程度時間間隙下,其中一胞元在某時可能會比在另一時間具有較多的有效資源以支援MBMS傳送,因此,在該時間讓該胞元傳送較大量的MBMS資料就令人滿意,對於另一個在同一時間間隙的胞元而言,支援相同MBMS頻寬的資源並無法利用。因此,在胞元間替MBMS傳送做不同的排程以更有效利用該資源就頗令人渴望。當MBMS使用者在胞元間移動時,使用者移動進入的新胞元其傳送不是在另一胞元的傳送之前就是之後,因此,MBMS使用者就可能漏失MBMS資料或接收無用多餘的MBMS資料。
因此,讓MBMS具有較佳資源利用就成為眾人渴求的事。
本案係包含一種無線存取網路與一種用以發送使用頻道切換的多媒體廣播/多播服務(MBMS)的方法,該頻道切換係介於專用與共有/共享頻道之間。本案亦包含使用於當一無線傳送/接收裝置接收來自多個傳送來源的一MBMS服務時的MBMS接收排程。此來源係已不同的次序來傳送該MBMS服務資料。在一實施例中其使用頻帶內區段資訊,而在另一實施例中則使用頻帶外同步資訊。
雖然較佳實施例說明是結合第三代伙伴計畫(3GPP)寬頻分碼多工存取(W-CDMA)系統,但實施例也適用於任何使用MBMS的無線系統,之後的無線傳送/接收單元(WTRU)包含但不限制於一使用者裝備、行動基地台、固定或行動使用者單元、呼叫器或任何形式可在無線環境操作下的裝置。
第一圖是一用以讓MBMS頻道切換之流程圖。在一特定胞元,使用該服務之WTRUs數量是由步驟20所決定或估計,典型地,這資訊是已知的。使用在該胞元及/或其他胞元資訊中WTRUs的數目,例如胞元狀態、可利用的胞元資源等等之類的資訊,是否使用專用頻道或共有/共享頻道或兩者皆用的選擇,即步驟22。在頻道選擇決定之後,該MBMS資料就會映像至對應的頻道,即步驟24。一種可能接近的方法以決定何種類型的頻道被使用即是一種門檻測試,如果WTRUs在胞元的數量低於某值,則使用專用頻道,該專用頻道允許功率控制並且會利用傳送差異技術,這些技術預期當高資料速率的MBMS的傳送產生時,會有效率地使用可利用的資源。
如果WTRUs數量超出門檻值,即使用共通/共享頻道,例如一共享頻道、一高速共享頻道或者是一輔助共通控制實體頻道(S-CCPCH)。一共享頻道或高速共享頻道能被用來同時傳送MBMS資料給多數個WTRUs,S-CCPCH則能被用來廣播MBMS資料給多數個使用者,典型地,該共享/共通頻道就有較低的無線資源效率。
在另一實施例中,使用一個兩門檻的方案。如果在胞元中使用MBMS的WTRUs的數量低於第一個門檻值,即使用專用頻道,如果數量在第一和第二門檻值之間,即使用共享或高速共享頻道,如果數量超過第二門檻值,即使用共通頻道來廣播MBMS。
在某些狀況下,可能會較渴望使用共享和專用兩種頻道以支持MBMS。為了說明,很多使用的WTRUs可能會定位在一起,例如在一列基地台,而少數或單一WTRU可能就在一列基地台外,在此情況下,胞元資源最有效率的使用以支援MBMS可能是分配一共享頻道給一列基地台上的WTRUs,而分配一專用頻道給其他的WTRU,當在胞元中使用者的數量改變,胞元狀態改變或頻道選擇會週期性的重複使用新資訊,即步驟26。
第二圖是一用以執行頻道切換之較佳無線存取網路(RAN)之圖示,該RAN係由管理使用者服務的服務網路控制器(S-RNC)30以及管理胞元實體資源之控制無線網路控制器(C-RNC) 34所管理,在S-RNCs 30及C-RNC 34之間提供用於RAN進行適當操作所需協調的信號發出程序會被使用。

一頻道切換之較佳實施方式如下所述,一使用MBMS之第一WTRU 40能自主地進入和離開胞元,其係有關MBMS服務之啟動及分佈狀態,當MBMS首先為該第一WTRU 40或少數在特定胞元的使用者建立時,專用頻道會隨著一辨識MBMS服務之獨特無線鏈路(RL)指示器而建立,一欲使用其他MBMS之第二WTRU 40會具有一個不同的專用頻道分派給該使用者,當該RL為每一使用者建立後,一獨特MBMS指示器會從S-RNC30發送信號至C-RNC 34,該MBMS指示器對每一提供給該使用者之服務而言都是獨特的,該C-RNC 34維護一所有對特定MBMS服務而言正在使用中的使用者之資料庫,且該群組被認知為MBMS使用者群。
每一啟動之MBMS服務之資料會由核心網路28透過MBMS資料流分配給C-RNC 34,一獨特與每一MBMS資料流相連的辨識子允許該C-RNC 34以連接該資料與適當的使用者或使用者群,以便該資料能合適地排定路由。根據特定MBMS服務之啟動使用者數量及胞元狀態,該C-RNC 34將決定是否服務該在專用或共享/共通頻道上傳送。
既然個別使用者自動地進入或離開該胞元,專用和共通頻道間的切換即動態且可能在不間斷進行的傳送時發生。動態切換能適用於下行通路共享頻道(DSCH),資料能在DSCH上送出以被與專用DSCH(C-DSCH)相關之單一使用者或同時地被多數個與共通DSCH(C-DSCH)相關之使用者接收。對一特定的MBMS來說,當僅有一個使用者或少數使用者在胞元內離開,對使用者或是多個使用者來說DSCH將成為D-DSCH,而當與特定的MBMS相關的使用者數量增加,為該MBMS使用者群將建立C-DSCH。
當該第一WTRU 40成為在胞元間為啟動,一D-DSCH將為該第一使用者建立,MBMS傳送可能就不需要連續處於啟動狀態,在DSCH上MBMS的傳送會被指示給在相連專用頻道上之該第一WTRU 40,這項指示可在傳送時間間隙(TTI)基礎上開啟或關閉。
C-DSH也許實質上相同於D-DSCH,然而不同之處在於,與位於MBMS使用者群組中之專用頻道有關之個人使用者之DSCH傳送信號係為同步傳送,其允許MBMS使用者群組中的所有使用者能接收到共同的DSCH傳送。一指示會隨同MBMS傳送而發出信號,以指示專用於特定使用者或是共通於使用者群組中之使用者的MBMS傳送,以達成電力控制技術之適當操作、傳送多元化、或任何其他獨特的實體傳送特性。專用DSCH與共通DSCH之間的MBMS轉換係較WTRU40來得清楚。
在另一實施例中,頻道切換係應用於高速DSCH(HS-DSCH)上。使用HS-DSCH來取代DSCH之差異在於其並非於C-RNC34之相關專用頻道上使用同步分配,其同步分配係使用B節點38之HS-DSCH控制頻道上。
在又一實施例中,切換可以在不使用相關專用頻道下,於專用實體頻道與共通實體頻道之間發生。專用頻道與共通頻道之間的頻道切換會明確地發出信號給每個使用者。RAN第三層協定允許發送無線電幅至專用與共通頻道之間的轉換之程序,信號發送係以發送轉換之無線電幅或以發送傳送排程資訊的方式來執行。
第三圖與第四圖係為允許不同胞元與不同胞元內MBMS傳送來排入不同順序之流程圖。為了說明起見,假設一第一胞元能夠在一無線電幅內傳送大量MBMS資料至WTRUs,而第二胞元不能,結果,在第一胞元內之MBMS傳送可能超前第二胞元一或多個無線電幅或TTIs。
為了說明胞元內,在一胞元內部,一組使用者係可能位於一火車站中並接受共通DSCH的服務,而在同一個胞元內的其他使用者係處於火車站外並接受專用頻道或專用DSCH的服務,以充分利用波束成形及電力控制。根據DSCH負載及其他因素,火車站WTRUs 40的傳送領先或落後WTRU外的傳送,皆是令人滿意的。假如位於WTRUs外的使用者進入火車站,最有可能令人滿意地轉換WTRU 40至共通DSCH,並解除專用頻道。在這種情況下,外部WTRU 40需要趕上共通DSCH的傳送,或是允許該傳送趕上WTRU 40已接收到的區段。
為了維持持續的服務分配並更有效率地使用無線電資源,MBMS傳送較佳地係區段化或排程化,以讓使用者在任何情況下都能接收到MBMS服務傳送的單元。因此,MBMS服務傳送並不需要於使用者通道上之胞元進行再次初始化,且使用者也不需要等待與存在之MBMS服務傳送進行同步化。
第三圖係為使用頻帶內區段資訊來控制胞元內或胞元間之不同MBMS傳送順序。隨著MBMS傳送,區段資訊係隨著MBMS資料一起被發送,步驟42。該區段資訊典型地包含一區段辨別器,以使每個接收WTRU皆能辨別其接收的區段。當特定WTRU於MBMS傳送來源間移動時(在胞元或切換頻道之間),步驟44,WTRU能從新的MBMS來源接收區段,並重組該傳送以回復所有的MBMS資料,步驟46。
第五圖係為WRTU 40接收不同MBMS傳送之簡化方塊圖。WRTU 40係使用一天線54來接收MBMS傳送。MBMS接收器56從不同傳送來源接收MBMS傳送,其中包含了頻帶內區段資訊。一區段資訊回復裝置58係用以回復區段資訊。使用區段資訊及接收的MBMS區段,一MBMS區段重組裝置60係重組區段以回復MBMS資料。
第四圖係為使用頻帶外傳送排程資訊來控制不同MBMS傳送順序之流程圖。WTRU從一特定來源接收MBMS傳送,步驟48。WTRU也接收頻帶外排程資訊,步驟50。當WTRU移動至不同的來源,WTRU能從新的來源接收MBMS資料,並使用該來源之頻帶外排程資料來重組MBMS接收區段,步驟52。
第六圖係為WRTU接收不同MBMS 40傳送之簡化方塊圖。WTRU 40係使用一天線54來接收MBMS傳送。MBMS接收器62係從不同傳送來源接收MBMS傳送。一頻帶外同步資訊回復裝置64係從多重傳送來源接收同步資訊。使用同步資訊及接收MBMS區段,MBMS區段重組裝置66係重組區段以回復MBMS資料。
第三圖及第四圖的方法皆允許位於胞元內的使用者在專用與共通頻道之間進行適當的轉換,而不需中斷或延遲MBMS傳送。此外,即使新胞元與舊胞元之間的傳送順序不同,進入胞元的WTRU仍能持續接收MBMS的服務。一旦MBMS傳送資料被接收,WRTU將依據頻帶內區段及/或頻帶外傳送排程資訊來記錄資訊。
由於應用了頻帶內區段或頻帶外排程,遺失或失敗的傳送能有效率地藉由WTRU於再傳送時的使用而被回復。RNC MBMS再傳送排程也能藉由考慮到WTRUs之轉換接收而降低。進一步地說,假如RNC知道所有使用者皆接收到一特定MBMS區段,該區段之再傳送就能被預防。
