Abstract

According to the method liquid ammonia-containing melamine isquickly decompressed from partial pressure of ammonia P1 from 400to 50 bar to partial pressue of ammonia P2 between 200 bar andatmospheric pressure at temperature range from 0 to 60oC above thespecified point of the solidification of the melamine, dependingon the prevailing partial pressure of the ammonia. The higherpressure allows a greater distance in the temperature from themelamine solidification point then the lower one, and P1 is alwaysbigger than P2. As a result of this the pure melamine is producedin solid form after which the melamine is decompressed toatmospheric pressure, and if necessary, is cooled to roomtemperature and the pure melamine is isolated.20 claims
