Description

"Interior fitting process for motor vehicles of the" station wagon "or" station wagon "type.
The present invention relates to a method for fitting out the interior of motor vehicles, in particular to vehicles of the "station wagon" or "station wagon" type.
Very often, personal effects or goods stored in the back of such a type of vehicle are exposed to view and can therefore attract potential thieves.

elegant and also more practical.
Two plywood boards, strips of wood, plastic or any other suitable material, of equal dimensions, covered with skai or fabric identical to the covering of the seats are provided.
These boards can be assembled and dismantled by passing them through one of the rear doors of the vehicle, and are introduced into two superimposed longitudinal slides, these slides preferably being fitted into the shell of the vehicle from the assembly line thereof.
These boards are introduced one after the other and can be either superimposed or placed one behind the other, so as to obtain a false floor parallel to the roof of the vehicle and extending over the entire back of it.
This system makes it possible, among other things, to prevent seeing inside, thus replacing the trunk or trunk of a classic type sedan, while having the same discretion.

rière of the new "trunk" thus arranged, by a simple sliding of the boards in one direction or the other. In addition, this system makes it possible to constitute a rear shelf on which relatively heavy objects can be placed without them hindering the rear visibility of the driver. It should also be noted that this process allows a significant improvement in the sound insulation of the vehicle, especially when empty. It is of course obvious that once dismantled, this system makes it possible to use the entire volume of the vehicle originally designed for this purpose.

appropriate safety notches, it can be fully or partially pulled back and forth, depending on the desired use.
The accompanying drawings represent the different variants of the present invention:

- In Figure 2, the same references indicate the same objects, 8 and 9 are shown various personal items 8 and heavy or bulky baggage 9;
in Figure 3, there is shown a particularly bulky object and requiring the superposition of the two boards 2 and 3; and
