Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The present invention relates to a perforating funnel capsule applicable to containers with necks, intended to perforate the plastic sheath in which certain products are packaged, and to collect the product without loss and thus to allow it to flow into the container.
The development of the use of plastics has naturally led producers to seek the simplification of the packaging in which certain liquid products are presented to consumers. This is particularly the case for shampoos, oils, detergents, petrol additives, etc., all liquid products were until now packaged in flasks, bottles, etc.
For this purpose, packaging in the form of bags, sheaths, pads, tubes, etc., of plastic material, in which the liquid product is contained, has been produced. These packaging come in all shapes, solid or flexible, in all colors, transparent or opaque and can be easily printed.
The difficulty arises when the consumer has to cut the packaging to collect the product. This incision, whether made with an epipgle, a blade, scissors, etc., is very impractical and generally allows losses to occur.
The invention consists in allowing this incision in an easy manner while harvesting all of the product released.
It will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows and of the drawing illustrating, by way of example, one embodiment.
Fig. I, shows in elevation a perforating funnel capsule according to the present invention.
Fig. II. gives a plan view of the perforating funnel capsule.
Fig. III. shows a section along A-B of FIG. II.
Fig. IV. is seen in profile.
Fig. V. is a partial view of a container neck equipped with the perforating funnel cap with the dotted package to be perforated.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, shown in the drawing, a device made of flexible material (plastic material like P.V.
C., synthetic rubber, etc.): - or a solid material (bakelite, glass, metal, etc.) is in the form of a funnel (1) equipped at its lower part with an extension ( 2) cylindrical coming to rest on the outer edge of the neck of the container.
The interior of the funnel is fitted with a rigid tube (3) fixed to the neck (4) of the funnel and bevelled over the entire exposed part so that the liquid can flow through the interior of the tube (3) in the container on which the device is applied. The upper end of the tube has a double point (5 -Fig.III) intended to break open the packages which contain the liquid product.
To facilitate the flow of liquid into the container, devx. ventilation holes (6-7, Fig. III) were drilled on the outer side of the funnel.
Referring to FIG. V of the drawing, there is shown such a perforating funnel capsule fitted to the neck of a container, in this case a bottle, with, in dotted lines, a plastic packaging

in the perforation position.
The invention has been described and illustrated as purely indicative and in no way limiting and it goes without saying that many modifications can be made to its details without departing from its spirit.
