Description

The present invention relates to a disposable safety device to transfer the blood in a container.

Such devices are intended for particular to transfer blood between segments sample of a blood bag and a tube under empty or ordinary, or to deposit calibrated drops on an analysis slide, or supports commonly called BEDSIDE TEST (trade name). In addition, the present invention also allows to transfer calibrated drops of blood from a vacuum tube on an analysis slide or a Bedside Test (name commercial).

Universally used blood bags in blood transfusion are extended by " segments ", plastic pipes containing the same blood as the pocket, and used for sampling (for testing without reopening the pocket.

One of the disadvantages of the pocket segments blood is the risk of contamination of personnel when they open. Blood bags contain blood that may not have been tested, again representing a potential danger important in terms of staff contamination medical.

The scissors are therefore soiled with blood sometimes not yet tested - after each use, which presents serious risks in case of injury with such scissors, when handling or cleaning scissors. In addition, there is a risk of cross contamination from two or more consecutive open segments (the results tests may be falsified).

Another problem concerns the removal of a drop only on an analysis slide or test type BEDSIDE TEST. It is not easy to form a clean and calibrated drop with a segment cut to scissors or pierced with a normally intended needle for another use.

The object of the present invention is to offer a device with great security for the user, avoiding in particular everything risk of contamination.

To this end, the device in its most general realization is constituted by a body hollow with a transverse middle partition crossed by a beveled needle at one of its ends. This hollow body presents on the side of the beveled end of the needle a tubular element of a section smaller than the section of a finger, and a length determined so as to prevent the finger from user cannot reach the beveled end of the needle. According to an advantageous embodiment, the tubular element has internal fins substantially radial, for centering the segment (the fins direct the end of the segment on the bevel of the needle).

According to a preferred variant, the hollow body present on the side opposite the needle end a second diameter tubular element bevelled greater than the section of the opposite segment, the end not bevelled from the needle opening into said second tubular element.

This variant corresponds to a device multi-purpose allowing the transfer of a drop of blood from a blood bag or vacuum tube on an analysis slide or a BEDSIDE TEST, as well as the blood transfer between a blood bag segment and a vacuum tube.

Advantageously, the second element tubular has a sleeve surrounding the base of the needle, said sleeve serving to press the flexible part of the caps of all tube models under vacuum.

The wide part of the part (non-bevelled side of the needle) has internal centering fins. a 10 mm tube (glass or plastic) and fins substantially radial for centering a tube 12mm.

According to another variant, one of the elements tubular at least has a non-frontal end plane.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description of a nonlimiting exemplary embodiment which follows, referring to the appended drawings where:
  • Figure 1 shows the device in a first mode of use;
  • Figure 2 shows a view along a median sectional plane of the device;
  • FIG. 2bis represents a simplified variant of a median section plane of the device;

  • FIG. 3bis represents a simplified variant view of a transverse sectional plane of the device;
  • Figure 4 shows the device in a second mode of use;
  • Figure 5 shows the device in a third mode of use;

The device, of which Figures 2 and 3 show longitudinal and sectional views respectively transverse, is constituted by a hollow body (4) in transparent plastic material, having a first tubular element (5) and a second tubular element (6) separated by a middle partition. The pocket segment to blood is pierced by a needle (8) having a beveled end (9). By pressing on the walls of the segment of the blood bag (1), a pearl is beaded drop of blood which is deposited on the blade (3), a location inside the circle defined by the front end (11) of the element tubular (6).

The tubular element (5) surrounding the end bevelled (9) of the needle (8) has a section interior corresponding substantially to the diameter outside of the blood bag segments. The length of this tubular element (5) is determined so that that it forms a protective sleeve extending beyond from the beveled end (9) of the needle (8), so to prevent the user's finger from coming accidentally injuring yourself on the needle. As example, the part of the needle extending to the inside of the tubular element (5) is about 15 millimeters, while the length of the element. tubular (5) is about 30 millimeters.

The inner wall of the tubular element (5) has radial fins (12, 13) ensuring the centering of the segment of the blood bag.

On the opposite side, the device has a tubular element (6) surrounding the second part (14) needle ending in one end (15) no beveled. The needle is surrounded at the base of this second part by a support sleeve (16) whose outer section is less than the flexible part of caps of all models of vacuum tubes.

Figure 4 shows the use of the device for transferring a drop of blood from a vacuum tube (21) to an analysis slide (3), a BEDSIDE TEST, or any plan. The vacuum tube (21) is pushed into the tubular element (6) and the end not bevelled from the needle (8) crosses the plug. By exerting axial pressure on the tube to depression (21), the flexible part of the tube plug under vacuum comes into contact with the support sleeve (16), which has the effect of increasing the pressure to inside the vacuum tube (21) until to bead a drop of blood (22). Releasing the pressure on the vacuum tube (21), the pressure becomes again normal, and any excess blood will be drawn in the interior of the vacuum tube (21), which guarantees perfect hygiene of the device.

La figure 5 représente une autre utilisation du dispositif selon l'invention, pour le transvasement du sang contenu dans une poche à sang (1) dans un tube à essai (23).Figure 5 shows another use of the device according to the invention, for decanting blood contained in a blood bag (1) in a blood tube test (23).

First put the blood bag in the tubular element (5) surrounding the beveled end (9) of the needle (8). We then insert a test tube (23) in the opposite tubular element (6). When we exerts pressure on the segment walls of the blood bag (1), the blood is expelled towards the tube (23).

Another use of the device according to the invention, is the transfer blood contained in a blood bag (1) in a blood tube depression (21).

La dépression assure l'aspiration du sang depuis la poche à sang (1) vers le tube à dépression (21).First put the blood bag in the tubular element (5) surrounding the beveled end (9) of the needle (8). We then push a tube to depression (21) in the opposite tubular element (6). The depression ensures the aspiration of blood from the bag to blood (1) to the vacuum tube (21).
