<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Support system for the unfolding of advertising posters.
The present invention relates to advertising constituted
EMI1.1
by advertising posters made of paper or other printing medium arranged Åa The continuation One of the other in ribbon and relates to a support system for their diversion.
The horizontal transport of a paper ribbon poses the problem of guiding it. Indeed, the ribbon of paper rolled up on a reel must pass on two return axes before being wound up on a second reel to then return to the first reel.
To ensure that the posters run smoothly and perfectly, they must be moved using a perfectly guided transport tape which has good adhesion to the paper.
The problem of horizontal transport of the ribbon carrying the posters is solved according to the invention because the transport ribbon is made of polyterephthalate from ethyLenegLycoL.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The transport tape according to the invention made of polyethylene terephthalate has various advantages.
By its quality of perfect insulator it causes a very high electrostatic adhesion with the posters while constituting at the same time an ideal support for these. Such a transport tape is very flexible and very solid to wear and tear it is transparent At 100%, which is necessary for the lighting of posters by neon tubes. Its measurements are stable under various conditions, that is to say stretched with great force under temperatures which can vary from - 200C
EMI2.1
at 1000 C, it is completely insensitive to humidity.
According to the invention, the posters in paper or other printing medium are loaded on the transport tape per unit, which makes it possible to easily replace one or the other of the posters unlike the current system consisting of a strip formed of several posters linked to each other.
According to the invention, each poster is attached separately to its four corners on the transport tape by an element of flexible and self-adhesive strip, in order to allow a slight displacement of the poster on the support caused by the winding and the guarantee of an automatic return to place.
Still according to the invention, at more or less regular intervals, are provided on the support tape with narrow vertical flaps of the same material as the support tape and fixed on said tape, so as to leave a housing between the tape and the flap. for the insertion of the side edge of the poster, so

to hold it in place and allow it to move slightly horizontally b left and right
EMI3.1
due to winding.
In order to better understand the invention, this is now described on the basis of the appended schematic drawing showing in a perspective view a mono-
Advertising lithe produced according to the invention.
The advertising monolith shown consists of two reels 1, 2 and two return axes 3, 4. On these reels 1, 2 is wound back and forth a transport tape 5 of polyethylene glycol tereptalate.
The coils are driven (not shown) by direct stepper motors on the coils with optical and magnetic positioning device.
The motors are controlled by computer with an interchangeable program.
On the transport tape 5 are fixed vertically by all appropriate means at more or less regular intervals (depending on the width of the posters) of the flaps 6 made of the same material as said tape.
This fixing is carried out in such a way that it leaves along the flap or the tab a housing 7 for the insertion of the lateral edge of the poster 8. In these lateral housings the poster is held in place while being able to be move slightly horizontally left and right When unwinding.
On the transport tape the posters 8 are fixed at their four corners by elements 9 of self-adhesive and flexible tape, this so as to allow a slight displacement of the poster caused by the winding.

Slowly and to obtain the guarantee of an automatic return to place.
We have represented in the drawing an advertising monolith consisting of a single unwinding system but of course we could achieve without leaving the field
EMI4.1
of the invention a monolith with several drout systems. ssment according to the invention associated in any suitable form, such as square, rectangular, round or triangular allowing display on several faces.
In the schematic drawing, only a poster 8 has been shown on the support tape 5 for reasons of clarity of the drawing.
