Abstract

The invention concerns a single-stage method for bleaching dyed cotton fabric. The method is characterized in that the dyed cotton fabric is treated in an aqueous bath under conditions suitable for lightening the colour of the fabric, the bath containing as the active component a peroxy compound, but no hypochlorites, permanganates or enzymes.
