A device for grinding foodstuffs and separating soft and hard constituents, having at least one circular perforated disc (4) with discharge openings (16, 17) situated in the centre of the circle for the hard constituents, and a knife impeller (2) with knives (3) movable over the respective perforated disc (4), characterised in that a supporting disc arrangement is provided for the respective perforated disc (4), of which the stressed first supporting disc (6) is provided with channels (8) in a concentric circle arrangement, in which discrete holes (7) through the supporting disc (6) form passages for carrying off the ground soft product to annular channels (11, 12) in the second supporting disc (9), and that the feed opening for the foodstuffs to be treated is arranged radially through a lateral opening (1) in the housing into the processing space between the knife impeller (2) and the respective perforated disc (4).
