Abstract

The drawer gear has a fixed rail on each side to run on a fixed rail fitted to the furniture body via an intermediate free running rail with bearings. A flat locking plate (16) under the drawer gear is operated by a profiled slot (18) in a support plate (15) and interacts with a catch (17) attached to the drawer rail. The catch has a stepped action with one end of the catch having a guide pin (19) moving around a triangular track. The drawer is closed against spring pressure, from a spring (21) in the support plate, until the catch secures the closed drawer. The drawer is opened by pulling against the retaining catch or simply by pressing the drawer inwards, to release the catch. The spring tension opens the drawer by a small amount.
