Abstract

A device for filling a container with a determined number of stacked cellulose products disposed in layers, in particular cotton wads (3), has a supply pipe (1) which conveys the cellulose products (cotton wads (3)) from a production device to the filling device. Separating sheets (5) made of flexible material are introduced into the stream (4) of products to be stacked, dividing it into partial stacks (8) having each a predetermined number of products. The filling device has a separating unit (6) which separates the stream (4) of products into partial stacks (8, 8'), as well as an ejecting arrangement (8).
