  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines   zinksulfat-und borsäurehältigen Bades filr elektro.   lytische Verzinkung. 



   Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung eines zinksulfat- und borsäurehältigen Bades und besteht darin, dass Zinkoxyd mit nur soviel Schwefelsäure behandelt wird, dass ein Teil des Zinkoxydes mit der noch mit Borsäure versetzten zinksulfathaltigen Flüssigkeit in Suspension bleibt. Hiedurch werden die bei Verwendung von Zinksulfat und überschüssiger,   freier Schwefelsäure   häufig vorkommenden porösen oder   schwammigen Ablagerungen   vermieden und noch die Möglichkeit erreicht, auch chemisch nicht reines Zink an der Anode zu verwenden. 



   Von Vorteil sind ausser der als Zusatz für Zinkbäder an sich bekannten Borsäure noch Zusätze von Alaun, Eisen- und Natriumsulfat, welche für Zwecke der elektrolytischen Verzinkung bereits in der Literatur vorgeschlagen wurden. 



   Die zweckmässigste Zusammensetzung eines Bades von 1000 G. T. gemäss der Erfindung ist folgende :

   Verfahren zur Herstellung eines   zinksulfat-und borsäurehaltigen   Bades für elektrolytische Verzinkung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Zinkoxyd mit nur soviel Schwefelsäure behandelt wird, dass ein Teil des Zinkoxydes in der noch mit Borsäure versetzten   zinksulfathaitigen   Flüssigkeit in Suspension verbleibt.

   The present invention relates to the production of a bath containing zinc sulphate and boric acid and consists in treating zinc oxide with only enough sulfuric acid that part of the zinc oxide remains in suspension with the liquid containing zinc sulphate to which boric acid has been added. This avoids the porous or spongy deposits that frequently occur when using zinc sulphate and excess free sulfuric acid, and it is still possible to use chemically non-pure zinc on the anode.



   In addition to the boric acid known per se as an additive for zinc baths, additions of alum, iron and sodium sulfate, which have already been proposed in the literature for the purpose of electrolytic galvanizing, are advantageous.



   The most appropriate composition of a bath of 1000 G. T. according to the invention is the following:
