Metal drinking vessel for liquid food and beverages.

The purpose of the invention is to create a replacement for the expensive and easily breakable porcelain and glass vessels that meets all requirements for cleanliness, heat insulation and economy. The known metal shells cannot meet these requirements for various reasons. In the case of hot food, the high thermal conductivity of the metals will heat the container so quickly and so strongly that it is impossible to grasp it with a knife. In addition, food residues and rust will collect in the unavoidable rivet gaps, which makes the enameling necessary, which is, however, unattractive, expensive and has a short lifespan.

The design of such vessels according to the present invention, however, avoids all of the disadvantages mentioned and, moreover, provides a number of advantages of the type described below.

In the drawing, an example embodiment of the invention is shown applied to a coffee cup.

The shape of the shell is pressed from a sheet metal 1 (aluminum, alpaca or the like) and by bending the edges 2 a hollow shape is created, which in its own base. 3 is inserted (ground in). The bead 2 can reach down to a greater or lesser extent and thus completely or only partially form the outer jacket of the vessel. This design primarily achieves a high level of thermal insulation, so that the vessel can easily be held both directly and on the handle with the bare hand without being burned on the outer surface. The heat content of the liquid will also only decrease slowly. However, this design also eliminates all holes and their seals on the inner surface, since

   B. the rivet of the handle on the outer sheet 2 or. 3, whereby the inner surface 1 remains smooth and can be easily cleaned.

Another advantage of the invention lies in the increased economic efficiency, since the metal sheets are held much weaker than in single-walled vessels and the overall strength is nevertheless increased. Finally, various noble metals can also be used for the inner and outer sheaths. The external shape is arbitrary in all versions.
