   Abhilfe gegen diese Unregelmässigkeit wird laut vorliegender Erfindung (s. Fig. 2) dadurch geschaffen, dass der Anodenzylinder mit einem faazartigen Schlitz F versehen ist, in den das zu zerstäubende Metall P wie in eine Tasche eingeschoben wird ; Ein Herunterfallen des Materiales bei teilweiser Ver-   dampfung   ist dadurch unmöglich gemacht, denn dabei kann die abgemessene   Metallmenge   nur neuerlich an anderen Punkten mit der Anodenoberfläche in   Berührung   treten, bis sie vollständig zerstäubt ist. 



     Zweckmässigerweise   kann dieser Schlitz im Anodenzylinder dadurch hergestellt werden, dass dieser Zylinder aus einem Blechstreifen so zusammengerollt wird, dass sich die Enden überlappen. Besonders einfach ist es, diesen Zylinder an den Enden der   Überlappung   durch Punktschweissung zusammenzuheften, hierauf in die Mitte des Schlitzes das Zerstäubungsmetall   einzuführen   und auch dieses durch
Schweissung im Innern dieser Tasche zu befestigen, wodurch ein besonders sicherer Wärmekontakt entsteht.
