Das hat den Nachteil, dass die IIanptmenge des Dampfes durch die Elemente mit wenig bzw. drei U-Rohren fliesst, weil diese Elemente einen geringeren Widerstand haben. Weite   Zuführ- oder Verte@@rohre   ändern daran nichts. Durch die Elemente mit vier oder mehr U-Rohren   fliesst dementsprechend   weniger Dampf ; sie werden daher auch weniger durch ihn gekühlt.

   Ausserdem setzt sich leicht Schmutz in ihnen ab und sie kommen ehenfalls   triebt   in die Gefahr, zu verbrennen. Schliesslich ist die Gesamtüberhitzung nur gering. 



   Bei Unterteilung der   längeren     Etunente   in je zwei kürzere, deren   U-Rohre   auch wieder in einer Ebene liegen, wird die Zahl der Dampfanschlüsse und damit der Dampf-   verluststellen wesentlich grosser.
