Wa8serrohrke8sel with upper and lower boiler connecting pipes.

The subject matter of the invention relates to a water tube boiler with tubes connecting the upper and lower boiler, the tube sheets of which are designed as steps ascending towards the middle (see, for example, Austrian Patent No. 50915).

In order to enable the tubes to be replaced in a boiler of this type without the use of large spaces between the individual tubes of each row of tubes, according to the invention the steps are made so wide that a lane c between the row of tubes of one step and the step wall b of the adjacent step arises through which the tubes can be pushed through for replacement.

removed from the boiler. After removing the rolled-in pipe pieces that remained in the step socket, the new pipe is inserted in the reverse order.

The height of the steps must of course be dimensioned so that the pipe in the inclined position (position II) can be swiveled into the next lower step. The pipe is then pushed through the slightly widened bore of the stepped socket at an angle (position ZZZ) and finally comes into the normal position (position IV).

In the drawing, an embodiment of the Keosel is illustrated in which two rows of tubes are arranged in each stage and the tubes of each row of tubes are offset in such a way that the flue gases cannot find a free passage and are forced to wash around each tube. Fig. 1 illustrates such a boiler in cross section, while in Fig. 2 and 3 two example embodiments of a pipe socket are illustrated in view. In all figures, the direction of the arrows A indicates the direction of flow of the flue gases.

Each step plate is pressed from one piece as a plate and placed directly on the boiler shell without the intermediary of a nozzle.
