Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

<Desc / Clms Page number 1>
The invention relates to a cylinder head fastening for liquid-cooled internal combustion engines with cylinder head bolts which are guided along the cylinder liners around which the liquid is flushed up to the crankcase boundary wall.
Cylinder head bolts, which are led up to the crankcase delimitation, have the advantage that a favorable power transmission is achieved and distortion of the cylinder liners is largely prevented. In addition, the outer walls of the cylinder block can be made much weaker.
However, it has hitherto been disadvantageous that the cylinder head bolts are surrounded by the coolant or are permanently free in the liquid space and are thus exposed to corrosion, which in the course of time leads to a considerable reduction in strength. In addition, there are sealing difficulties at the screw exit, i. H. sealing cap nuts or the like must be provided.
The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these deficiencies and of creating a cylinder head fastening of the type described above, in which the cylinder head bolts are not exposed to corrosion and there are no sealing difficulties.
The invention solves the problem in that the cylinder head bolts are tightly enclosed within the coolant space by sleeves which consist of pipe pieces inserted in the crankcase delimitation wall on the one hand and in the end wall of the coolant space on the cylinder head side and glued in there in a liquid-tight manner.
This keeps the coolant away from the screw shaft so that corrosion cannot occur. Since the sleeves are tightly glued into the end wall on the cylinder head side, there is also no risk of liquid leaking in the vicinity of the screw head or the screw nut. The pipe sections can be installed later.
In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment, u. 1 and 2 show a part of a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine in a section along the line I-I in FIG. 2 and in a section along the line II-II in FIG.
The crank space is designated by --1--, which is separated by the wall --2-- from the coolant space. The fluid-flushed cylinder liners --4-- are inserted in this crankcase boundary wall --2--.
The cylinder head --5-- is clamped down with the help of cylinder head screws --6--; the inside

The pipe sections or sleeves --7-- are tightly glued in the holes in the boundary wall --2-- and in the upper, cylinder head-side end wall --8--.
