Ölkühleinriehtung an Brennkraftmaschinen.

Oil cooling device on internal combustion engines.
The subject of the invention is an oil cooling device on internal combustion engines, especially for fire engines, which is illustrated in the drawing in two exemplary embodiments. 1 and 2 show the lower half of a crankcase provided with the cooling device according to the invention in longitudinal and cross-section; Fig. 3 shows another embodiment in cross section.
According to FIGS. 1 and 2, two separate, longitudinally extending channels 1, 2 are provided in the longitudinally ascending double bottom of the crankcase, which are connected to each other at the higher end by a transverse channel 3 and at the lower end to the cooling water circulation pipe are. The base is preferably provided with transverse ribs 4 at the top and longitudinal ribs 5 at the bottom.
The lubricating oil sprayed onto the inner walls of the crankcase by the crankshaft flows down the sloping floor to the deepest point of the crankcase, where it is cooled by the cooling water driven under pressure through channels 1-2-3. The cooling effect is increased by the transverse ribs 4.
According to FIG. 3, the cooling ducts 1 'and 2', which are also connected to one another at one end by a transverse duct 3 ', are cast on the inside of the longitudinal side walls of the crankcase, likewise preferably provided with internal transverse ribs 4' and have a cross-section that widens in a wedge-shaped manner downwards that the lubricating oil flows down the inward and downward sloping inner channel walls. '
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Oil cooling device on internal combustion engines, consisting of channels provided in the floor or the walls of the crankcase, through which the coolant flows, characterized in that the crankcase floor is inclined in the longitudinal direction.
