Method for assembling a two-part or multi-part cable duct consisting of several metallic components
The invention relates to a method for assembling a two-part or multi-part cable duct consisting of several metallic components for electrical installations to be laid in buildings.
In the known cable ducts of the type mentioned, two profiled components are usually connected to one another to form a cable duct with a rectangular cross-section by welding the mutually abutting edges. It is also known to connect the profiled structural elements by crimping their ends together.
On the other hand, cable ducts have become known which are formed from a correspondingly shaped sheet metal that is attached to a base with outwardly lying edges.
In these known channels, the multiple sections are achieved in that longitudinal profiles are used in the channel, or the profiles forming the actual channel are provided with folds acting inwardly as a partition wall.
The object of the invention is to find more economical manufacturing methods for assembling said cable ducts.
To solve this problem it is proposed according to the invention to place a C-shaped profile with its angled longitudinal ends and with one leg of each right-angled profile forming a partition wall on a floor panel and to connect it to this by roll-point welding.
With this new process not only an extremely economical production method could be achieved; it is also possible with this to produce the cable ducts in continuous production.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of a cable duct manufactured according to the method proposed according to the invention.
A C-shaped profile-2- is welded onto a cover sheet-1 with both ends. An angle profile --3-- which is also welded with its one leg onto the cover plate and abuts the C-profile with its other leg and is connected to it by welding divides the cable duct into two sections. The individual components are fastened to one another using the roll-point welding process, with the simultaneous use of three roll welding heads allowing the cable duct to be manufactured continuously.
On the other hand, it can be seen from the drawing that an opening to be made above the long leg of the partition, for example to pull lines in and out, can be easily and quickly made without it being necessary to simultaneously add parts of the partition inside the cable duct having to remove.
