Process for obtaining pharmaceutically acceptable globulin
It is already known to separate globulin from protein-containing solutions by precipitation with magnesium sulfate or ammonium sulfate, but it is difficult to obtain a pure pharmaceutically usable globulin with the aid of this method. since the remnants of the filling agent are difficult to remove and cumbersome cleaning operations, such as. B. dialysis require. It is also known that when serum albumin is obtained, the serum globulin can be separated from the blood serum diluted with water by introducing carbonic acid.
It has now been found that a pure, pharmaceutically usable globulin can be obtained in a simple manner and at low production costs from egg white, in particular from chicken eggs,
EMI1.1
mixed and the precipitate formed is separated off, whereupon the globulin is excreted from the filtrate in a manner known per se for protein precipitation by means of CO 2 and isolated in the usual way.
The following exemplary embodiment explains the invention: Egg white is mixed in a ratio of 1 part by volume to 1.5 parts by volume of 0 Seiger saline solution, then it is centrifuged and the filtrate is mixed
EMI1.2
Carbon dioxide was introduced, the precipitate was allowed to settle for some time and the globulin was then separated off by centrifugation, dried gently with water until the pure, pharmaceutically acceptable globulin was obtained as a dry powder.
