   Das erfindungsgemäss erhaltene Produkt kann eine zweite (bekannte) Behandlung erfahren, wie beispielsweise eine einfache der   Pecherzeugung   dienende Destillation, die eine Vakuumdestillation sein kann. Das gewonnene Pech kann im anfallenden Zustand Verwendung finden oder zwecks Erniedrigung seiner Viskosität mit Ölen verschnitten werden. 



   Ein Zusatz bekannter polymerisierender, gasförmiger oder fester Stoffe während oder nach der erfindungsgemässen Behandlung ist zweckmässig und dazu bestimmt, die Wirtschaftlichkeit des vorliegenden Herstellungsverfahrens zu vergrössern. 



    PATENTANSPRÜCHE :    
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines organischen, kohlenstoffreichen Bindemittels für die Erzeugung feuerfester Auskleidungskörper und-massen für metallurgische Öfen und Behälter, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Destillationsprodukte der Steinkohle oder des Erdöls zwischen 150 und   500 C,   wie an sich bekannt, unter einem über 1 atü liegenden Druck so lange erhitzt werden, bis das Bindemittel in eine Form umgewandelt ist, welche bei Anwendung in den genannten Körpern oder Massen seine weitgehend rückstandsfreie Umwandlung zu Koks erlaubt, wozu dieser Körper oder Massen einer an sich bekannten Wärmebehandlung unterworfen werden.

   The product obtained according to the invention can undergo a second (known) treatment, such as, for example, a simple distillation serving to produce the pitch, which can be a vacuum distillation. The pitch obtained can be used as it is, or it can be blended with oils to lower its viscosity.



   An addition of known polymerizing, gaseous or solid substances during or after the treatment according to the invention is expedient and intended to increase the profitability of the present manufacturing process.



    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of an organic, carbon-rich binder for the production of refractory lining bodies and compounds for metallurgical furnaces and containers, characterized in that the distillation products of hard coal or petroleum between 150 and 500 C, as known per se, are below 1 atm lying pressure are heated until the binder is converted into a form which, when used in the bodies or masses mentioned, allows its largely residue-free conversion to coke, for which purpose this body or masses are subjected to a heat treatment known per se.
