Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Metal tube for bedsteads.
To protect the hollow metal tubes for bedsteads against denting, the metal rolls are filled with a cement compound.
In order to enable this mass to harden quickly, air channels are now recessed in the foot mass according to the invention.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown, u. Between Fig. 1 is a view of a metal pipe bed arch and Fig. 2 is a cross section through the metal pipe.
The metal tube a is filled with a mass core b made of cement or the like, with an iron core also being embedded in a known manner within c mass core. An air duct c is left free on the side of the mass core between this and the metal tube.
In order to allow the liquid to easily escape from the mass b, before filling the red with the mass, at least one specially made wire or wire rope is stored in the latter and only then is the mass filled. The pipes filled with mass are stored to dry in such a way that the Dra comes to lie on top. After the mass has been tightened, the wire is removed from it again, after which an air channel is created.
