Description

Process for the production of fuel briquettes.
It is already known to produce fuels using a binder, n. Zw. By briquetting a mixture of lean and fat coal using pitch; the usual binding agent in the manufacture of briquetted materials is used. The product thus obtained is then placed in an oven

product.
The method according to the invention consists essentially in that instead of the pitch, heavy oils are used as a binder for the briquetting of the lean and fatty coal, e.g. B. heavy coal tar oils.
The mixture of the lean and fatty coal with the oils can, for. B. in a suitable kneading device or by stirring in a vat with hot water. After air-drying, the resulting pulp is briquetted in a press and the briquettes obtained are then conveyed to an oven and coked for the purpose of obtaining the by-products.
In this way, the oils used are recovered and can be used again later; At the same time, the substances produced during the distillation of the fatty coal are obtained.
The method has the advantage that the temporary binding agent (oil) is recovered in contrast to the older methods, while with the latter the binding agent (pitch) largely remains in the end product.
The briquette obtained according to the invention forms a solid and dense fuel that is very
