La presente se refiere a toxinas insecticidas Cry1Ca modificadas de Bacillus thuringiensis y las secuencias de polinucleótidos que codifican estas toxinas. Se describen usos en vegetales transgénicos como así también métodos para proteger a los cultivos del daño ocasionado por plagas de insectos.
