Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una proteína variante de Cry1Ca que tiene actividad insecticida, en la cual todo o parte de las alfa hélices 1, 2A, y/o 2B del N-terminal de una correspondiente Cry1Ca de tipo silvestre son delecionadas, caracterizada porque dicha proteína es al menos 99% idéntica a una secuencia seleccionada del grupo que consiste de: SEQ ID NO: 3 y SEQ ID NO: 5.
