Reivindicacion 1: Un método para producir una planta con mayor tolerancia al estrés que comprende la expresion de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de flavodoxina y una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de reductasa de ferredoxina NADP(H) en una planta. Reivindicacion 32: Un constructo de ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un poliéptido de flavodoxina y una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipétpdio de reductasa de ferredoxina NADP(H). Reivindicacion 52: Un método para aumentar la respuesta o tolerancia al estrés de una planta que comprende la expresion de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de flavodoxina y una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de reductasa de ferredoxina NADP(H) en una planta.
