Abstract
Un método para controlar acceso de canal en una red inalámbrica de área local que tiene un punto de acceso y una estación, en donde el método comprende los pasos de: calcular el valor de tiempo admitido para cada categoría de acceso (AC) en la estación, en donde el valor de tiempo admitido es una cantidad máxima de tiempo medio que la estación puede utilizar en un período de tiempo; calcular un valor de tiempo utilizado para cada AC en la estación, en donde el valor de tiempo utilizado es una cantidad de tiempo medio utilizado por la estación; determinar si el valor de tiempo utilizado es menor que el valor de tiempo admitido; transmitir un marco con parámetros de acceso de canal distribuido mejorado (EDCA) si el valor de tiempo utilizado es menor que el valor de tiempo admitido; y transmitir un marco sin los parámetros EDCA si el valor de tiempo utilizado no es menor que el valor de tiempo admitido.
