Abstract
Elemento metálico de área que tiene una superficie que se extiende desde un primer borde externo hasta un segundo borde externo opuesto al primer borde externo. La región del elemento metálico adyacente al primer borde externo forma una primera región lateral y la región del elemento metálico adyacente al segundo borde externo forma una segunda región lateral. Ambas regiones laterales están conectadas entre sí por una región central entre ellas, con por los menos una abertura completamente bordeada que se forma en por lo menos una de las regiones laterales, cuyo borde está formado en una parte por esta región lateral y en otra por la región central. La región central incluye por lo menos dos secciones, cada una de las cuales consiste en dos secciones parciales dispuestas hacia fuera y una sección parcial central entre ellas. Las secciones parciales dispuestas hacia fuera están plegadas con respecto a la sección central para producir la abertura. Las secciones forman parte del borde de la abertura y la región central que incluye las secciones, está hecha en una pieza con las dos regiones laterales del elemento metálico. El elemento metálico de área descripto puede emplearse como elemento de sección (51, 52), en particular como sección de esquina o sección de soporte, rejilla de protección, sección de acero, estera de filtro, elemento para aislación del sonido, marco para plantas trepadoras, elemento para formar escalones, capa de refuerzo, inserte en materiales compuestos, conducto para cables, banda para aberturas, elemento de ajuste o sección decorativa.
