Abstract

Una capa de transferencia de fluidos líquidos y artículo absorbente que la incorpora, tal como un panal, una toalla higiénica o lo similar, que presenta una cobertura permeable por debajo de la cual está dispuesta una capa de transferencia de fluidos, de tela no tejida, y luego un núcleo absorbente donde son retenidos los fluidos. En la capa de transferencia se define una subcapa superior, esencialmente hidrofóbica, y una subcapa inferior, esencialmente hidrofílica. La capa de transferencia presenta una configuración acanalada, con canales conformados por franjas comprimidas de la tela no-tejida, de modo de definir un desarrollo transversal de crestas y valles que se extienden a lo largo de la capa de transferencia. El menor espesor que presenta la capa de transferencia dado por las franjas comprimidas que forman los valles, otorga a los canales propiedades predominantemente hidrofílicas, lo cual facilita la rápida transferencia de líquidos hacia el núcleo absorbente, mientras que el mayor espesor de la capa de transferencia en las crestas le otorga propiedades predominantemente hidrofóbicas, los que evita el retorno de líquidos desde el núcleo absorbente hacia la cobertura permeable, reduciendo así el índice de humedad remanente en la zona de contacto con la piel del usuario, aún estando el núcleo absorbente sometido a presión.
