Abstract

Se revela una película termocontraíble orientada que incluye una capa que comprende una resina de malla interpenetrante multicomponente etileno/alfaolefinaque tiene un índice de fusion de menos de 1,4, incluyendo la resina un componente homogéneo quetiene un índice de fusion menor de 1, y una densidad de por lomenos 0,91 gramos/centímetro cubico, y un componente heterogéneo con un índice de fusion de entre 1,5 y 20; teniendo la película un valor de niebla (ASTM D1003-95) menor que o igual a 5,un valor de carga pico/milipulgada (ASTM D 3763-95a) de por lo menos 155 newtons/mil, y una contraccion libre (ASTM D 2732-83)a una temperatura de 200oF de por lo menos 8% en cada una o ambas de las direcciones longitudinal y transversal. Se prefieren las películas con contraccionlibre sustancialmente equilibrada, en particular aquellas con un equilibrio de contraccion libre de menos de, o igual a 30%. Las ventajas de la disminucion delespesor y/o las propiedades mecánicas se proveen sin afectar sustancialmente en forma adversa las propiedades tales como la contraccion libre y la optica.
