Abstract

Se proveen artículos absorbentes que tienen un elemento sustentador de cintura. En una realización preferida, el elemento sustentador de cintura seexpande al ser expuesto a líquidos corporales acuosos apretando efectivamente el panal medianteel estiramiento de las regiones de cintura del artículoabsorbente. Hay un aumento resultante en las fuerzas contráctiles en la banda de tensión lateral en las regiones de cintura del artículo absorbente con unareducción correspondiente en elriesgo de escape por la cintura. El elemento sustentador de cintura provee además un elemento resistente a la flexiónlongitudinal en las regiones de cintura del artículo absorbente, particularmente adyacente a la barriga delusuario. Este elemento puede actuartambién como un puntal que resiste las fuerzas, tales como aquellas debidas a la gravedad, que tienden a causar que un artículo absorbente se deslicehacia abajo. El artículo absorbente está provisto además de unnúcleo absorbente que comprende por lo menos un componente de redistribución que escapaz preferiblemente de redistribuir los líquidos corporales acuosos desde la región de entrepierna a las regiones de cintura del artículo absorbente.Elcomponente de r edistribución está en comunicación por fluido efectiva con el elemento sustentador de cintura.
