The Turkish version of the American Council on Education’s [ACE] Mapping Survey, which was adapted by the authors, was used as data collection tool. Participants consisted of 12 experts and managers of the international relations offices of 12 state universities. The results indicate that the majority of respondents believe that the level of internationalization at Turkish universities is high and internationalization is most often undertaken to enhance reputation and rankings, attract successful faculty, researchers, and students, and prepare their students for the global economy. Moreover, the participants believe that their universities are internationalizing rapidly, international student recruitment is the top internationalization activity, and the international relations office [IRO], rector, and vice-rector do their best to internationalize. Moreover, the institutional commitment of participant universities to internationalization was found to be high. They carry out internationalization practices through administrative sub-units formed according to the type of internationalization activity and declare their internationalization activities and goals in missionvision documents or strategic plans. Their internationalization activities are internally/externally evaluated and internationalization efforts are encouraged by the senior management. Participant universities aim to increase the number of international students by setting certain goals and geographical targets, carry out their internationalization activities purposefully and include countries with shared historical and cultural heritage. Universities are expanding their cooperation and partnerships to include both Europe and the rest of the world.

In this study, doctoral postings in the developing countries with the highest scores on the Inclusive Development Index were examined in terms of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. The study provided an internationalization perspective in terms of the reflection of diversity in PhD postings because one of the points emphasized in these postings was the encouragement of lecturers from different fields, countries, and cultures. Regarding equality, this study found that doctoral postings encourage collaboration and teamwork and support equality. This lets candidates with varied skills and backgrounds collaborate to address scientific and social issues. As a result of the research, it was revealed that items such as language proficiency, financial aid, and lack of tuition fees in PhD postings were used as important tools in attracting qualified early-career academics and doctoral students. Finally, this study revealed that PhD postings did not contain offensive or discriminatory language and that they were written inclusively.

International student mobility is becoming essential for scientific, technological, industrial, commercial, and political countries. While this increase made positive contributions to countries and students, on the one hand, it also caused students to encounter different problems. This study aims to investigate the reasons why international students choose Turkey, as well as their experiences and future career plans. This research is a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological design. This qualitative study used a semi-structured interview form as a data collection tool. In the study, it was found that they encountered language and communication barriers supported by the literature. In addition, international students think their education in Turkey will positively affect their future. They state that they can seize new opportunities in other countries thanks to the knowledge and experience they have gained from Türkiye. This study suggests that incorporating international student experiences into the existing body of literature would provide universities and administrators with valuable insights into the factors influencing students' decision to study in Türkiye, their experiences while studying there, and their future career aspirations.

In this period, distance education appeared as an inevitable solution. Even today, when the pandemic process is over and re-normalization has begun, online teaching environments have become such an indispensable part of education systems that it has been decided that a certain proportion of the courses will be conducted online in universities. For this reason, determining student experiences in online courses is important in planning the future of distance education. Since academic performance is the output of the teaching process, students' academic performance is one of the topics of interest in higher education research. There may be different factors affecting the academic performance of students in the distance education process, which imposes more responsibility on students and requires selfcontrol. This study aimed to examine the relationship of academic performance in the distance education with home infrastructure, student interaction, computer skills, academic satisfaction. This research is based on a large-scale study, "The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the lives of higher education students", examining the pandemic's impact on higher education student perceptions in 2020. It has been observed that home infrastructure has a significant impact on the student's academic performance. The infrastructure increases the interaction of the student. When home infrastructure is taken as a control variable, students' computer skills are the highest predictor of their perception of academic performance, followed by their online interactions and, finally, perceived satisfaction. Today, pandemic conditions are still ongoing. In addition, even as the pandemic ends, online education has become an indispensable part of our education system. Therefore, the findings of the research would be beneficial for the ongoing planning process.

This research is a descriptive case study and the data were collected through document analysis. The documents analyzed within the scope of the study are as follows: “Internationalization Strategy Document in Higher Education 2018-2022 (CoHE, 2017)”; “Research Project Report on Making Turkish Universities an Attraction Center for International Students in the Framework of Internationalization of Higher Education (Kadıoğlu & Özer, 2015)”; “Growth, Quality, Internationalization: A Roadmap for Higher Education in Turkey (Çetinsaya, 2014)”, “10th Development Plan 2014-2018 (T.R. Ministry of Development, 2013)” and “11th Development Plan 2019-2023 (T.R. Presidential Strategy and Budget Department, 2019)”. The content analysis method was used to analyze the data. The available evidence seems to suggest that the internationalization of higher education in Turkey has academic meanings in the sub-dimensions of education/training, institutional quality, research/publication, and human resources; cultural meanings in the sub-dimensions of cultural ambassador, diversity, and integration; political meanings in foreign policy, soft power, political closeness sub-dimensions and, finally, economic meanings in the sub-dimensions of human resources, growth, global competition, and economic mobility. There is overwhelming evidence corroborating the notion that the policies of recognition and visibility, mobility, internationalization, strategic planning, and student opportunities have been applied to the internationalization of higher education in Turkey. Overall, this study strengthens the need for the Internationalization of Higher Education Working Committee, which comprises all the stakeholders under one roof. The current data highlight the importance of continuous efforts to make the faculty members, students, and administrative staff competent in foreign languages.

As a woman, she took on several positions throughout her career including partnership, managing partnership, membership to executive committees, being the chairperson of the executive committee and chairperson of the global strategic committee in Baker & McKenzie. Politically, she became the deputy minister of foreign trade in France at first and then the minister of finance in 2007. Moreover, Christine Lagarde was elected as the new managing director of International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the first woman to hold this position. Becoming a top leader of an organization requires some crucial leadership skills: compelling leadership behaviours, vision, providing balance, handling international issues, managing chaotic situations and networked relations and many others. In this chapter, Christine Lagarde’s life story, her leadership style and her current position are subjected to theoretical and functional analysis in the context of women leadership. This chapter concludes that because of being at the top in a complex organization, Christine Lagarde can be seen as a source of inspiration and motivation for women who want to break the glass ceiling and reach the top positions.

Therefore, it is extremely important to investigate the teachers who have an essential role in shaping the society and what kind of family structure they have come from. In this context, the importance of the concepts family and teacher in terms of their influence on the students makes the parental education status of the candidate teachers a topic worth studying. In this regard, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of parental education level of candidate teachers on the levels of critical leadership. The present study has been designed as a survey model. The study group includes 497 students studied at Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University in 2015–2016 academic year. Critical leadership scale was used as data collection tool. In this study, while the critical leadership scores of the candidate teachers did not differ significantly according to the mother’s education level, there was a significant difference in the paternal education level. When examining that the difference in the paternal education level results from which pairwise group, there was a significant difference between the critical leadership scores of candidate teachers whose fathers graduated from “primary school university” and “secondary school university.” This difference has been found in favor of candidate teachers who graduated from primary school and secondary school, respectively. We can infer from these results that while the paternal education level reduces, the critical thinking levels of candidate teachers increase.

Also, in this study the dimensions of emotional intelligence which are closely related to social life and organizational systems will be considered in terms of chaos and complexity theories. At the same time in this study, how a situation that appears to be complex but has an order inside and has the potential to be directed with small interventions can be handled by a leader that has a high capacity of using his/her emotional intelligence will be scrutinised. Additionally, this study will present the advantages of some leader capabilities (such as personal and interpersonal relationships, stress management, adaptability, general mood, empathy, motivation and self-awareness) in the management of the organizations in the context of chaos and complexity theories. Last but not least, the effect of emotional intelligence level in the rising of new leaders will be mentioned in this study.

First of all, I presented an overview of the National Education System. Then I provided an overview of higher education. I introduced the supervision services carried out in both structures and the bodies responsible for them. As a result, I revealed that MoNE supervises public and private educational institutions before higher education level with two bodies: the Board of Inspectors and the Internal Audit Unit. Supervisors in Turkey play a critical role in monitoring the implementation of the curriculum, supporting teachers, assessing teacher performance, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and identifying areas for improvement. Another result obtained from this study is that supervision studies in the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) are carried out by three bodies: the Higher Education Supervisory Board, the Internal Audit Unit, and the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC). While the Higher Education Supervisory Board is an authoritative organization, its mandate does not include assessing the quality of individual courses or departments. The internal audit unit assesses if CoHE's resources are being used economically, efficiently, and effectively to meet its aims. As a result of THEQC's quality activities, universities set mission & vision; strategic plans; quality assurance policy, job descriptions, workflow charts, and alumni tracking systems. Quality assurance efforts enabled universities to start accreditation studies; and entered the internal and external evaluation processes. It should be noted that the separation of universities into research universities or the Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program in Turkey is also a result of quality assurance studies.

and present a map of internationalization of the participant universities.
