I can relate to the internet being boring for the past 2 weeks or so since I've been on hiatus X_X Trying to get back into socializing too!! Also good luck with learning a new language!! It's one of the best things you can do for yourself. I can relate to the perfectionism too... you just started so be easy on yourself! I hope that friend group continues to blossom as well. It sounds like you found some really cool-

peeps~! Whatever your language is, it's so cool that you're getting to read and speak to more people on the planet <3

I'm not sure how the recommendation works around here but I can't really complain, My website is not on Neocities anymore because of my needs so I'm hosting it on my own server, but I still keep a redirect here and people still find my website, which honestly, I'm glad. I can't really deal with social media to show my stuff

Immersion is a really great way to learn languages. Growing up I consumed so much content in English that I ended up learning by exposure, lmao. I mean, my English is by no means perfect, but considering that I never studied it, thanks globalization, I guess? Good luck with your new language, you got it;

best of luck with your language learning!! not being able to do things if you're not confident in your ability is a real struggle and one i faced in my earlier days of learning japanese... i'm glad to hear you've found a nice group to study alongside though!

amy!!! thank you :'))). I think I'm succeeding and going easy on myself and pushing myself to converse more.. I think it's the main thing I've been missing and it feels like I cracked some mysterious code when it was so obvious lmao. And yes I'm really glad to meet more people, especially ones that are so different from me!

@ongezell I have definitely been considering other hosting options for so long now (i dicked around with a vps for a while but ended up giving up due to laziness kek) but the thing is, i do enjoy the social features to an extent so i feel like I'm always stuck between a rock and a hard place... maybe someday though

and yes nothing truly beats immersion, after not knowing cyrillic for my whole life it took me only a couple of days to learn it after being in a country that uses it for a week! it's incredible. and thank you!

@cloveratelier thank you so much! Yes confidence is so important, and it's a big hurdle to get past.. it took me a while to get where I am tbh :')

Oh I love the witch outfit! You mentioned playing the Nikki games. Will you be checking out Infinity Nikki when it releases?

I MAY give it a try although if Nikki herself isn't fully customizable face/body wise (this is a big part of why I'm playing LM compared to SN/LN) I'll probably pass... although it seems really cute!

ah I'm glad you enjoyed it!! it's interesting to see your point of view as you were affected by an earthquake yourself, like this feeling that rest of country just goes on with their life. this cover is hilarious, i love it kek

You expressed so succinctly why some (definitely not all) of Haruki Murakami's fiction feels so powerful: he somehow talks about big complicated painful and confusing events precisely by not talking about them, and in doing so somehow reveals some nameless wordless truth about them. Norwegian Wood also does this really well wrt the late 60s student protest movement, I think.

man, bad news really does come in threes, doesn't it? i'm so sorry about the situation with your parent's apartment, everyone living there must be infuriated and also confused. i hope everything will turn out alright
