This study examines preservice teachers’ beliefs about diversity as key aspect in improving educational practices. The quantitative-descriptive study was carried out with 319 preservice teachers enrolled in the college of education at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman. . The results show that preservice teachers ranked diversification of teaching methods as their strongest belief around teaching learners from diverse backgrounds. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between diversity and the two variables of nationality and age. One of the most significant findings from the one-way analysis of variance was that their opinions regarding diversity did not differ according to the gender of pre-service teachers. The discussion focused on the importance of preparing preservice teachers for dealing with diverse students in institutions of higher education.

With a view to addressing the issue, this study focused on critical factors to evaluate the effectiveness of distance learning systems using the criteria of course satisfaction and perceived learning. Further, this study developed a research model that integrated Transactional Distance Theory, Social Presence Theory and the Online Interaction Learning Model to facilitate student satisfaction with online courses. Three hundred and three usable online questionnaires were collected from respondents at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The data were analysed using SPSS and Amos version 22. Results supported all direct relationships between motivation, self-efficacy, self-regulated learning, instructor immediacy behaviour, perceived learning and course satisfaction. Interestingly, perceived learning fully mediated motivation, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning. Findings from this study on the determinants of course satisfaction do provide guidelines to institutions on significant factors to prioritise when establishing an online learning system.

This research investigates the role of entrepreneurial passion as a prelude to entrepreneurial intention. The theory of planned behavior was used as an underpinning theory. A conceptual framework was developed and tested to determine their contributions to entrepreneurial intentions. The correlation between entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial intentions is moderated by perception of university support to determine if it enhances the entrepreneurial intention to become a successful entrepreneur. The sample (N = 395) was identified using a convenience sampling technique and is comprised of university business students in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The questionnaire comprised two sections used for data collection, and Smart-PLS was used to analyze the hypotheses. The findings have indicated that there is a strong positive re...
