“Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”

A man dreams of an extraordinary scientific breakthrough. He tinkers with the idea in the back of his mind while moving closer to gaining the capability to achieve it. After some time, his ability increases, and  The American Dream rings true. He succeeds. And after he finds out that it has done what it needed to do, he exits a building to noise.

    - Why do you come here?
    - Why do you?
    - Cause I’m having ego problems. I want to be worshipped and adored.

Yeah, it’s supposedly a murder mystery where a cop tries to find out who’s killing a bunch of gay men but it’s also an insanely detailed story about self discovery? The atmosphere here is so incredibly gay it’s hard to believe that a straight man directed and starred in this.

Impeccably acted and directed. I really enjoyed the story and everything too. I do think I was expecting a bigger gag in the end but Jane Fonda was enough. Really enjoyed watching this. Her character is actually such a well rounded character. You don’t get thrillers like this one anymore.

Orson Welles doesn’t understand what missing means. A very crazy movie visually with a great ending. Some stuff it’s a bit weird in the light you see them in 2024 but hey it’s good cinema. It works regardless

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

A heartbreaking rejection of the typical ideas of a coming of age movie. Owen will not enter the wardrobe, he will not follow the white rabbit, he will not go to the Pink Opaque. He will collapse inside himself and decay.

Fantastic. My favorite movie of the year now.

“She sure is young isn’t she? Like a little girl.”

Does what Marie-Antoinette (2005) did for Marie-Antoinette for Priscilla Presley. That movie was a biopic blended itself with the coming-of-age genre in order to humanize her. This essentially feels like a kind of dark fairytale. Priscilla’s brought into Elvis Presley’s in the way of the dreams of many young girls around the world. There are times she enjoys it but it drains her. It takes years away from her.

    It’s…
