Finally got a chance to see this and left thinking it was.. interesting to say the least (not in a great way nor in a bad way). Whether it’s obsessing over the past or planning for the better of humanity’s future, Megalopolis is about time and its essence on civilization.

From frogs playing instruments and a giant killer toy robot, to swinging through a jungle and finding purpose from your homemade action movie, Paprika oozes with expression and mayhem combined into something so lustrous.
Its animation is always on a whole other level thanks to Satoshi Kon’s style and passion that’s reminiscent all throughout the film. The main plot and pacing combined with the pleasantly creative yet boundary less dreams worlds make for an engaging experience that requires your eyes…

Strawberry Mansion 2021
Just a decently creative film in almost all aspects, yet highly underrated for sure. With colorful visuals inspired from Mishima, dream like romance similar to Eternal Sunshine, and abstract weirdness from the likes of EEAAO, you basically get something eccentric yet somewhat meaningful that stands out. It’s got its some glaring downs that kinda hold me back, but it gets the job done overall. Huge props to everyone involved into creating Strawberry Mansion though 🙏
