static site

This site is built with eleventy. I've tried as much as possible to stick to writing raw HTML and CSS, though some templating language stuff is inevitable with a static site generator. The output is simple html and css that renders FAST.

hosting, domain, dns, etc

Hosted on DigitalOcean. Domain registered with hover. DNS is via cloudflare.

The server itself is a VPS with running debian that I installed YunoHost. I used the basic my_webapp to drop the static files on deploy. Right now I am blissfully just updating this with SFTP until I get the urge to set up automatic deploys based on merges to the main branch on forgejo.

design

This site is simple and mobile first. It supports dark mode. I try to rely on type and spacing rather than fancy design. The font is Atkinson Hyperlegible Next.
