Katie Dredger
Katie Shepherd Dredger, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of education in the College of Education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and the former chair of the Committee Against Racism and Bias in the Teaching of English for the National Council of Teachers of English. Currently, she serves as the Academic Unit Head for the Middle, Secondary, and Mathematics Education Department. A former public school middle and secondary teacher for thirteen years in Maryland, she works to examine intersections of theory and practice in today’s classrooms.
