Music and art are very calming. The  time spend walking around is a bit long and might lead to boredom and the instructions are not always readable for me as they are displayed in the wrong place ( a little up and to the left)
With a little work this could be a wonderful cozy game. good job

This is a tad too much for my artistic brain but I do think it would have helped me a lot in my schooltime to have something like this. Would have helped me actually understand chemistry instead of just memorizing and then forgetting forever.
Great idea. hope you'll work further on this

I love the idea and implementation but I feel like I missed something.
Because even though I connected the braziers in the first room and that lil door opened the middle of the room is still in shadow and I can't continue

I just love where you went with the theme. A very unique and compelling idea.
The music fits really well and caries the heaviness of the story.
The artwork is simple but fits really well. Especially the background touches me and fits perfectly.
The game mechanics are simple and easy to understand even without a tutorial and make for some interesting puzzles.

However I could not finish bc the being hunted was just too much for me in combination with the already established tension but I do understand why this might be a necessary part of the story.
My one point of critique is that the intro story with Rain requires a lot of clicking continue and doesn't have the best readability. Putting that email into one block of text as if we are reading the actual email could pull one into the story more thoroughly.

I'm a bit sad that I couldn't finish the game but glad that I saw at least part of it. This is a really good entry.

Love the atmosphere, like the implementation of the idea.
Solid entry to the jam

Thank you very much for this in dept review.

All of the problems you mentioned will be addressed in the updated version

Yeah the UI will definitely be updated but I think you actually found a bug

Flowers be blooming, people be pushy, cultists be calling for Willy Wonka? Not sure why. But I'm glad I get to turn into a sponge.

Thanks for the fun

just to be sure. You are clicking the empty body parts and not the filled ones?

This was such a fun experience. I really enjoyed the premise and music. Some of the critter sounds where a bit harsh on the ears but otherwise this was chill. Not boring with a good progression and qite intuitive. Looking forward to seeing this with better lighting

I'm so not made for this kinda game but I did figure out how to move (after I botched the remapping. TWICE. and then fixed it)  and shoot and upgrade and got too much adrenaline from the tension, not in a small part to the very fitting and creepy sound design.
Awesome job

I've just tested it on safari mac and for me it works.
When you click a body part does the frame of it go brighter?
When you click the runes in the inventory does anything change? Like the number of runes in the display below the rune circle or the design in the rune circle?
Which version of Safari are you using?

rn it works like this:

Select a body part you want to get back

Add runes to the rune circle

The selected body part will go red when something wrong was added

Blue outline when something correct was added

Fully blue when you recovered the body part

There is not much feedback except when you recover all body parts. We didnt get to that part sry

(This will change in the next version. We'll add descriptions to the runes so you can infere which part needs how much of anything)

ahhh I did not see the compatibility section. Sry for this then. I will try tomorrow on safari

This has some really good points.
Most of what you mentioned comes down to us not having had enough time to playtest and optimize or even add everything that was needed, f.e. the rune descriptions
We really appreciate your feedback

Thank you so much.
I'm the artist and this is the first ever game I made. I'm so glad it worked well and that you enjoyed it

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment.
Wiggle will definitely be implemented, as will other things

Thank you for taking the time on our game.
I agree a tutorial would have made it a lot easier but sadly we barely managed to put in all the mechanics and have it run. Glad we did put it out anyway bc that has given us replies like yours that we can build on

Hiyaa late reply.
We loved hearing that you zoned out and let yourself be carried by the game and enjoyed the art.
We do plan on refining the rune combining and make it easier to understand
Really appreciate the time you took for this

I'm going to be blunt in this and point out all that I noticed. Maybe it'll help you with the next game you'll make (or with this if you want to keep working on it).
This is a quick and cute game.
The mechanics are clear and easy to understand.
The screen with the combinations would benefit from being in the center bc that's where the player looks most.
The top of the screen get's very little attention bc all the gameplay happens below. Which is sad bc it's cute and fun to look at.
The colours of the mixing ingredients and dots in the screen should line up to avoid confusion. This could be aided by using a limited palette.
The colour dots on the screen get added in the oposite way as the slimes above, closer to the top( danger zone) than the line before. I would have understood it better if the lines would have pushed up from the bottom so as to show that the top most line is the one with the highest priority.

I personally think that you could have added all your mechanics into either the tower-slime part of the screen or the cauldron-room part of the screen. That would have tightened it up quite a bit.
In any way this is a good prototype. Congratulations on finishing a playable version on your first jam

;_; I really wanted to play this game but i'm on mac
please also put that warning into the page description. (Edit: its there. I didnt see it.)I tried it several times before coming here and seeing that my computer is the culprit

That being said I really vibe with the design. Nothing more I can say about this though

Did I just flood the room with slime frends to ward of the evil bedsheets? Of course I did. I'm not good at making quick decisions so I held on until my "flood with cuteness"- strategy didn't get me further, but it did get me quite far.

This is a fun game. Good music, good art, easy to pick up controls. At first I thought there where just too many controls but they are quick to understand and just in case there is a reminder on the right side of the screen (thank you for that)

I do think that the shadow part of the theme is missing a bit. This could have been remedied with art or story but all in all good job on this entrie

Thank you I appreciate you taking the time for this. The wiggle is already on my update list as are lots of other things

nah you aren't allowed to update until after the judging is closed.

thank you so much. I'm the artist and I appreciate the comment. There are definitely animations coming for Sliver. Can't wait to animate that lil blob

This looks nice already even without the shader. I'm looking forward to how it will look with it. It's a bit sad that the main mechanic can't be played. The idea looks promising and interesting. Really hope you'll keep working on this so we get to see the full vision you had in mind

Sadly this crashes quite fast so I can't say anything about the gameplay. The story looks promising and the art is really pretty. I do think though that with art that plays more with the theme of shadows this could be a lot more interesting
Also adding the controls to the game page might help as well

Thank you so much. We will be working on this to make it easier to understand and a much deeper and chill gaming experience

Fun sneak game. Love the atmosphere and execution.
Only caveat: I would like to be able to choose from the beginning if I would go the human road or the demon road

This game made me so incredibly happy. I love the theme interpretation, very unique. As is the application of the sneak mechanic. Very well done.

Amazingly cute and interesting game idea and execution. The puzzles are hard enough to feel the frustration of having a disability but easy enough to give a boost of all the happy feelings of having figured it out. Definitely gonna play that again.

This is fun and enganging.  The jump would benefit from a bit of leeway. I like the tilting of the screen and speeding up. It gives a very dynamic feel. I'm just not sure what to do with the grey shadows. Are they just bad luck or is there a way to defeat them?

I love the character design. The puzzles are interesting and engaging. Controls and story telling would benefit from a bit more polishing but are fun as well

Wanted to play but couldn't bc it didn't start. Probably a firefox problem but I wanted to comment that in case it's a bigger bug

thank you so much.  The concept is pretty much all we've got running but more is to come

Sry for that. There is a bug that has you loose the runes if you don't choose a limb first
