Thank you!

Thanks a lot!

Gosh, 4,5 hours! You're my idol. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my entry. You had me laughing out loud with your reactions to it and I'm very happy to hear I achieved some of what I aimed for, including the nefarious typewriter! I'll check out your take on the other entries too, as I'm sure I'll learn a lot from it.

Hi, guys. Composer/SFX artist here at your disposal. You can check out my previous work for other jams here: https://kirrifant.itch.io/ Feel free to DM me at Discord (kirrifant). My timezone is CEST.

Awesome. That sounds like a really cool and organic creative process. I will check out your full project for sure.

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! :-D

Really interesting track with great sound design elements. I specially liked the second section with wide atmospheric sounds and noises and a hint of harmony in the background. The reprise of the string attacks also worked great and the outro is really cool and fitting too. It took me to a distant place and immersed me in this distant ancient civilization which seems to be working in the building of something huge (and which might bring their own destruction or make them gods) while immersed in a thunderstorm.

Beautiful piece. I really like the story-telling and sense of journey achieved with the two contrasting sections and reprisal. Specially dig the noisy tail of the leading mallet-like synth at the intro and outro, and the sweeping pads at the second section, atmospheric with the just right twinge of melodic sparks to keep the ominous feeling at bay and give way to hope.  The pitch bend for the departure of the pads is also great and the background voices also work great. It feels the pads are some kind of overseeing beings looking over us humans and our daily endeavors. You transported me to the eighties and I thank you for that. :)

I really digged how you used the same inconclusive melody pattern for every chord change, with the circular progression i bVI v bVI i working great for this, specially the first i-bVI jump around the minute mark. Also liked the choice of adding the most minimal percussion hits. Simple but evocative composition to me.

Hehehe. Thanks a lot, man! Glad you liked it. ^^

I will apply that idea of morphing instruments in other projects for sure! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and provide your feedback.

That's definitely a good sign. Thank you so much for listening and commenting!

Thank you!

That's an amazing resource. Thanks a million for sharing, man! Already watching the fifth lesson. <3

Thank you! Yes, indeed, the more I hear the piece and read your feedback, the more I feel the starting parts feel skippable and not suitable for the context. I guess I just listened too many times to Disco Descent and got trapped in the "I will get an exactly 3 minutes long track so cool and with many different parts" loop. Glad you liked the title too!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I will try that for sure, it sounds like a great "less is more" approach.

Thanks a lot for commenting! Definitely, I also had my doubts if the intro was really necessary.

Thank you so much for the feedback! Yeah, I mostly tend to come up with overly minimalistic pieces :_( After several attempts I couldn't find the right approach to make those sections more juicy without losing their punch, but will keep trying!

Thanks a lot for the encouragement! I am finding a super positive community in all the tune jams I join, and this time is not the exception.  I always get very valuous feedback or at least encouraging comments, and to share mine is the least I could do, even when it is just a feeling for I might lack the technical or musical proficiency to provide something more insightful. But you know you can always feel the "weight of silence" when there's no direct communication with the creator ("maybe I got it all wrong?", one thinks) so I am very very happy to receive your answer and hear you indeed found it helpful! Let's keep it up!

Thank you so much! Yes, and I must say a great find it was to me! I will for sure keep exploring the possibilities of LMMS, as I feel it has much to offer and I just tapped the surface.

Thank you so much! Very happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Thanks a lot for your kind words! Glad you liked it!

Amazing work, with awesome buildup and story-telling. I feel it like at the intro something is coming, getting closer and closer, the tension keeps rising but we have still not taken action, it is just a growing fear of the unknown, then around the 1:00 mark the enemy is finally revealed, and the drums of battle start to sound; feelings of despair are mixed with the resolution to face the dark forces, and after an arduous preparation, finally the battle takes place. Also digging what I see as the high register of strings with insistent attacks and faster motifs to kind of represent the menace and the brass underneath with the "good guys" trying to contain it with a slower pace.

Sweet laid back track and at the same time full of energy and a foreboding feeling. It adjusts perfectly to the background you aimed for. Those plucked strings sound fantastic, as well as the hurdy-gurdy. Thanks a lot for sharing that ancient instruments library you found, I might have a go with it too! Great work!

Really interesting track. I am loving the "something is being built" feeling all around, and the mechanic while also organic nature of the rhythms and attacks. An ominous feeling is present during all the piece, even though you also manage to keep it upbeat, and I really dig the constant "tension-repose" you got with the buildups in the 1:00, 2:00 and 2:50 marks. Now I get the name of the track: definitely something is coming our way, but it is not here (yet). Cool job!

I really like the atmosphere and sound palette here: the vaporwave synths greatly complement the bass. Digging also the "danger danger danger" transition and specially the more chaotic section which unfolds after the "alarm siren" and the first thunders, to end in the more peaceful resolution when the storm finally arrives. Great work!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

Total banger. Sweet bassline with lead counterpoint. That bridge at 1:01 is great, as is the reprisal with the percussion and the brassy lead. Bobbing head all along. Felt like playing the game already. Awesome job!

Wow. Managing to keep it interesting for 2 minutes with just two channels is just damn impressive. It feels very credible as an original ambient track for the NES. And thank you for making me smile with the Mario theme drop! Nice work!

A pleasure for the ears. ^^

Loving the counterpoint at the part A and really was not expecting the percussion drop! Great buildup at the end too. Very unique take of the theme keeping chiptune textures with very fitting vibes to the game at hand. Great job!

Hehehe, thank you!

Thanks a lot for your kind words! So glad you found it interesting!

Those slightly vocal synth attacks are great, and the lead entering at 0:45 hits hard with its beautifully crafted tone and catchy motif. I really digged the overall vibes for an ambient track, conveying an expectant and energetic mood. Good job!

Thank you!!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

Thank you!

Thanks a lot!

Killer motif with that aggressive surrounding stereo vibe so characteristic of your creations, and with so many things packed up to keep it fresh. The interlude from 1:00 to 1:20 is brilliant. We are suddenly somehow surrounded with happy Nintendo menu textures as if we paused the game but the enemies are still lurking behind the dialog asking for us to go back to the game. And there we go, for every enemy must (happily) die! The human voice at 2:00 is also a fantastic idea, as many other details in the piece. Amazing work.
