I am excited to see these in print, I bet the varied formatting will really be eye catching flip through the collection.

Great to hear! I'll be sure to check it out!

I've added a few more, feel free to claim one! If you do and have time please consider leaving a review!

I'm working with a few RPG webstores to get them in stock now! I'll be posting an update once they are listed.

No typo but revisiting the final book after beta testing and I love that you've included the enemy stat blocks with each location rather than an index reference. I may try to revise my own realm to match this style.!

(1 edit)

I'd never seen that before, 100% that struggle will come up.

"You guy's need to Transform NOW?! I'm on a date!"

"No we won't all hide in the bushes so Mr Blue over here can Brainwash his way out of PE"

Great addition to the jam! Really enjoying these entries that require no setup to introduce.

Very reusable, now I just need TWO flashlights!

Text sizing may need some tweaking still but I'm keen to keep my rainbowbot as large as I can.

You may get a better response from the host but I believe the most important thing is that you have full rights to use the content commercially and understand the attribution requirements if any. Here is a snip from the licensing agreement you sign when uploading. If you can freely use the content it should be fine if its not AI made

5. Representations, warranties and indemnities
[5.1] The Artist represents and warrants that the Artist:
(a) is the sole author of the Works, which are original to the Artist;
(b) owns or has been granted all rights and interests in the Works necessary to grant the licence to the Licensee under this agreement; and
(c) has the power and capacity to enter into this agreement and to perform the Artist’s obligations under this agreement; and (d) has not included AI-generated content in the Works.

A similar post came up about content from GameIcon.net, maybe check there for more answers?

Really love the style of it and the reversal aspect.

I have a few questions / typing notes if you are open to them.

1. Are you intending to use Query as in a question, or Quarry as in an animal being hunted?

2. In the first sentence, is there an "o" missing? The screenshot says "each time you attempt T track..."

3. Have you tried a test print of this? I'd be curious to see how legible the text is, scaling it on screen against a physical card I worry that the text will be incredibly small (as small or smaller than the often mocked Yugioh card efffect text). I've attached a photo example.

This did remind me that I used the wrong template (poker instead of the correct Bridge size) so thanks for that!

Fantastic stuff, great juxtaposition of the mechanical elements and a hand written font.

Simple, clean, and easy on the eyes. Thank you for sharing!

Hi there, thanks for trying. I've attempted to reupload a WIP file. Let me know if you try to download it again and encounter any issues.

Following up now that the base game is finished. I do have ideas for a Speculative Evolution spin-off, I've recently been inspired by the Astrovitae magazine. You can find it here if that's up your alley: https://www.astrovitae.com/issues.html

Just wanted to let you know that the new version of the upload does have a premade grid in the back of the book that you could write directly on or photo copy!

Just played my first game, questions below but I thought it was neat!

1. What happens if an enemy card gets to Zone 6 and needs to move? (Especially Astrolith)

2. Some enemy cards of the same name and stats had different rewards, was that intentional? I saw a fighter with two ammo symbols and another with three.

3. Can you clarify the Pre-turn 1 enemy Spawn? As written it seems like the first turn has nothing for the player to do, the game basically started on turn 2.

4. If a planet is destroyed do the unused enemy cards get added to the other columns? I played it as they just went away with the planet and this insentivized me to sacrifice one planet early to remove 1/3 of the enemy pool and letting me have more cards for the two other columns.

4. Is discarding mandatory at end of turn? I read it as Not Mandatory but the addition of "You may" would make that more clear.

5. If there's room in the tin having all cards be the larger size would be a nice visual.

6. Print and Play file had extra Zone cards, is there a need for a second set?

This is absolutely RAD. While I'm mainly playing with miniatures this is such a great resource for the community.

Nice work and Thanks for the follow, here's a Key to one of my games! Happy Holidays!

This is also me checking the theory that video comments have an impact on Itchio discoverability, wish I had seen the video back during ZiMo!

Here is a video of several submissions to Zimo including The Unnaturalist! Thanks to Goblin Mixtape for spreading the word on all of these:

The game uses opposing sides so the player count is 2 or 4 (if using the teams alternate mentioned at the end of the rules).

Will there be a ratings and feedback period at the end of this jam? Not sure if that is always a feature or only present when the submissions are ranked in a more competitive structure. Just want to make sure I don't need to wait to make comments and ratings for the submissions I'm checking out!

My submission is currently a single A5 Sheet. I may drop to one piece of the art in favor of adding some custom bestiary entries but I'll probably have that choice made and revisions completed before the Jam  ends.  Thanks again for sharing the really robust design kit and style guide!

You made my night! I'm glad you like it and I hope the extra prompts coming later this month add some replayability to the game for you!

Hello, sorry I didn't catch this quicker. For now the grid is player provided. I'll try to add a note that clarifies this in future versions. I've been playtesting in pocket notebooks with Grid or Dot ruling which makes creating the grid quite easy.

Part of my layout hopes for later in development is to include a sort of playersheet with a grid and player identification page!

Was the February campaign date tied to ZineQuest for promotional purposes? If so do you see any potential shift to align with the delay of Zone Quest?

Cheers!

Great font picks, really dials in the classic horror poster look! Thanks for sharing.

Help, what does a Luxury Rat want?!

Thanks for sharing!

I dig the compass! I had to abstract it for my game The Unnaturalist but it's a great way to leave a trail in-game! Thanks for sharing

I think the mechanism is neat, thanks for sharing!

I didn't catch that the images were Lego at first! Great touch

Thanks for sharing, I like the player directed Risk / Reward in the bonus dice!

Thanks for sharing, I like the inclusion of the blank template!

Haha, I'm about 70 or so ratings in. I had a long weekend so tried to touch as many as I could. Commented on most if something stuck out. Cheers

Thank you for sharing your game!

I like the use of dominos, thats a pretty unique component in this jam..

I had a very difficult time reading against the background, especially some of the red headers on the second page. Some increase in contrast would be much appreciated.

I especially like #2! Things like "roll the dice and perform an action" become much more interesting when your friend has to take their best crack at doing the physical action of the rules!
